FAQs

We've scheduled a session, now what do we wear?

This is by far the most frequently asked question! I recommend that you coordinate but not "match." For example, if you wouldn't normally spend a day in the park dressed exactly alike, I don't suggest you do it for photos, it just won't look natural. You can all wear the same color scheme to look like you're a family, but not look like you're identical. Kids look ADORABLE in bright colors, patterns, and layers. I typically recommend solid colors and layers for adults. If you're still struggling with picking out something, call me and we can chat or check out this section of my blog where I show some examples. At the end of the day, as long as everyone is happy and smiling the photos will be awesome, cute outfits are just gravy.

Do you sell the digital files from a photo session?

YES! We live in a digital world of picture frames, albums and iPads. Everyone wants to show off images digitally and I think that's awesome (I do it too)! One thing I always remind clients of though is that this is this year. Next year is next year. Think back to 1995 - the world of floppy disks. Do you still have a computer that can read a floppy? The likelihood that we'll still be using CDs 10 years from now is slim to none. So, if you want your grandkids to be able to see your wedding pictures or family photos, printing out images and creating albums is priceless. The last thing you want to do is get an image CD and file it away on the shelf! Whether you order prints through Red K or through any number of great photo labs please put that CD to good use and print out some hard copies so the moments still exist in 2025!

What should we expect at a photo session?

It depends. (Don't you love it when people say that?) But it does! It depends on your family, the age of your kids, the type of event your hosting, and about 1,000 other factors. Expectations are based on goals. When we schedule a session or book an event, we'll sit down and review your expectations. "Must haves", itineraries, etc. From there, we'll plan the session to make sure we meet the goals and expectations. The one thing I can guarantee - we will have fun!

Do you take credit cards?

Yes! I accept cash, check or credit cards for session fees or product purchases.

Weddings

Wedding photography packages including digital negatives begin at $1,850. Digital iPad albums, Leather Heirloom Albums, guest books, canvases and many more awesome products are also available.

Sessions

Families, kiddos, bridals, maternity and just for fun sessions are $350 and include up to 2 hours of fun at the location of your choice and a CD of full resolution digital files in both color and black and white. Albums, canvases and prints are also available.
